THEY WORK A DANGEROUS JOB, YET CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS IN OKLAHOMA ARE MAKING BELOW 26,000 — $26,000, THAT I $12.78 AN HOUR>>THEY COULD GO DOWN THE STREET TO 7-ELEVEN AND MAKE MORE THAN THAT. REPORTER: THEY SAY IT IS DIFFICULT TO KEEP CORRECTIONAL OFFICERS ON THIS WAGE. AS OF RIGHT NOW THEY ARE FACING A TURNOVER RATE OF 40%. AND 30% SECURITY OFFICER POSITIONS ARE LEFT UNFILLED.
